Mike Worrell joins Timber Trade Federation as head of policy and sustainability

The Timber Trade Federation (TTF) has appointed Mike Worrell as its new head of policy and sustainability.

Worrell was formerly an enforcement manager at the National Measurement & Regulation Office (NMRO), the Government agency responsible for the implementation of the European Timber Regulation (EUTR).

He consequently brings a wealth of timber policy and EUTR enforcement experience to the role.

“We’re very pleased to have hired Mike into this role,” said David Hopkins, the TTF’s managing director. “His knowledge of the timber regulatory landscape and the obligations it places on the timber industry will be invaluable in helping our members’ improve their own processes and business operations. I’m looking forward to him taking the lead on a number of strategic projects and I’m sure our members will get to know Mike in due course.”
