Medite invites Ecobuild guests to discover its wood panel products in style

Wood panel manufacturer Medite will showcasing a wide array of its timber products at the forthcoming Ecobuild 2016 event at London’s ExCel next week.

Pride of place wil be the new Medite Vent, a breathable sheathing panel, and Medite premier, which the company claims is an MDF panel with “excellent performance characteristics”.

Ecobuild 2016 runs from 8-10 March and Medite is stand sponsor for DISCOVERY, a major new destination at the show. This is designed as Ecobuild’s central social hub showcasing one of the UK’s premier architectural awards shortlist, a national initiative to find the next eco-innovator and a platform for future materials.

Medite Vent is another of the products that will be featured at the DISCOVER stand. Said to be suitable for a wide range of timber frame structures, a total of 60 sheets were used within a single-storey timber building’s external roof construction at Burlington Danes Academy, based in White City, London. Students were involved in the building process as part of the ambitious scheme to boost their self-esteem and practical skills.

“Pupils were handling the boards on site so the clean, lightweight and easy to handle Medite Vent proved ideal for the roofing application,” said Franc Farci, project manager. “As an educational construction site, the project has helped to show pupils how every single building component makes a difference to the performance of the whole building fabric.”
